Review of Magyk by Angie Sage

Magyk is the first book in the Septimus Heap trilogy. It’s tied for my favorite with Darke (book 5) and Syren (book 4). The characters are believable and the plot never runs dry. ┬áIt’s just one of those fantastic books. I know it’s not a short read, but it’s a good one nonetheless and you should give it a go. If you like it, there are 6 more books in the series: Flyte, Physik, Queste, Syren, Darke, and Fyre. Also there’s a spinoff series called Pathfinder. Magyk follows Jenna Heap, her brother Nicko, her father Silas, Madame Marcia Overstrand, her great aunt Zelda, and Boy 412. I can’t say much about the plot without giving things away, but the Supreme Custodian is ruling for DomDaniel, who is undoubtedly evil and the Heaps with Madame Overstrand are going to stop them. But who is Boy 412? And where is Septimus Heap. And is Jenna really who she thinks she is? This is one of my favorite books ever, so let me know in the comments if you liked it.
